How magic can be used by the military?
True Wizards of War.

Author: Horus R. IceRaven

Wizards, Battle Mages, Jedi, and Warlocks these are all description from books and fiction, but the reality is much stranger then one might imagine.

The US government has had a long history and interest in ESP, Remote viewing and Psychic powers. Like so many cultures of old having the wizards at their disposal. Usually the wizards were the most educated of people in the kingdom and gave the best tactical advice based on historical knowledge as much as by their particular gifts. I will refer to those gifted as Wizards to simplify things and not dwell on the method, style, or belief used.

People were used with special gifts for the remote viewing project to gather information using their special gifts, but that not the only use of these wizards. How can magic win a battle? Well magic alone can not win a battle. But if two apposing armies are equal in all ways then the battle falls to tactics and luck. Magic, Psychic powers, Spiritual forces, and the like can tilt luck more then just a little. It has been shown to tilt the odds of random events in computers, and this test has been repeated in the lab over and over. So how can this be used in battle? Well if the average solder can shoot 100 rounds and hit 5, killing 1 then to tilt the odds by a percent one way for your side and the other for the apposing side, then the battle will swing considerably. Take into account all the statistics of a battle seen.

1. What are the chances of hitting your target?
2. What are the chances of avoiding being hit?
3. What are the chances stepping on a hazard like a land mine?
4. What are the chances of a random accident?
5. What are the chances of a miscommunication or misdirection?
6. What are the chances of a ???? and so on, and so on.

You get the picture, now if you have a Wizard on your side, and tilt those odds ever so slightly across the board for each side, then as you can plainly see victory will be assured.

In Star Wars books and games this has been referred to as battle meditation. But unlike the game these wizards are rarely ever know of. They work in secret. Besides the cost of a Wizard is not 10 billion dollars. They don’t even have to be on the battle seen. They can work from any location and tilt odds in any battle. They don’t even have to be battles our government is directly involved with. There are many methods for greatly improving your wizards performance for any battle situation. I will not go into them at this time, and I probably should not have said this much on this topic.

Lets just say setting up a Wizards War room would cost the government so little that they could easily hide it. If the Wizards did not work then the waist of money would be minimal, but to not do it is unthinkable, for such a small cost with no added risk and so much potential gain its simply not worth the gamble of not having them. So I then leave you with some questions.

If a battle had a one percent reduction in casualties, or even a fraction of that, what would the cost savings be? How many lives will not be going home in a bag? What is the value of these things? If a potential enemy was defeated by one of their opponents before they became a threat to us, what would our savings be? How many lives would be saved?
